How we use cookies.
Last updated 12 May 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy.
2. The cookies we use on this site
This website is intentionally low-cookie. We do not run analytics, advertising, or behavioural tracking. The cookies that are set on your device when you use this site fall into the following categories:
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They do not store personally identifiable information.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| nf_form_sent / nf_jwt | Netlify (our forms host) | Detects form submissions and prevents duplicate posts. Set only when you submit the contact, post-a-job, or apply form. | Session |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA | Helps reCAPTCHA distinguish humans from bots on our forms. Set only when you interact with a form. | 6 months |

Functional
We do not currently set any functional cookies.
Analytics
We do not currently use any analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, Plausible, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar). If we add an analytics tool in future, we will update this policy and add a consent banner so you can choose whether to allow analytics cookies before they are set.
Advertising / marketing
We do not currently use any advertising or marketing cookies. We do not run remarketing, retargeting, or behavioural advertising on this site.
Third-party services
Some pages may load resources from third parties that can set their own cookies:
- Google Fonts: serves the Montserrat typeface. Google may log an IP address when serving the font but does not set a tracking cookie.
- Google reCAPTCHA: protects our forms (see "Strictly necessary" above).
- Stripe (on the CV & Career Services page when active): sets cookies to support fraud prevention if you proceed to checkout. Stripe's own cookie policy applies.
3. How to manage cookies
You can control cookies from your browser at any time:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the forms on this site from working correctly.
4. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever the cookies set by the site change. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (for example, analytics), we will also implement a consent banner that allows you to accept or reject those cookies before they are set, in line with PECR and UK GDPR.
